Editing a Workflow

Prerequisite
  1. Workflow is not a system workflow.

To determine if a workflow is a system workflow, perform the following steps:

  1. In the module menu, click Administration.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Workflow Management.
The Workflow List page is displayed.
  3. In the IsSystem column, if the check box is selected, the corresponding workflow is a system workflow and cannot be edited. However, you can take a copy of the workflow and then make updates to the workflow.

Note: Any modifications to an existing workflow is effective to newer versions of the associated forms after the modified workflow has been published.
For example, if you introduce new stages and actions to the DPR form and then publish the edited workflow, only newer instances of the DPR form will reflect the changes saved and not the ones created previous to the modification.

Steps
  1. In the module menu, click Administration.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Workflow Management.
The Workflow List page is displayed.
  3. Select the workflow to be edited, and then click Edit.
The Edit Workflow page is displayed.
    The workflow is unpublished.
  4. Make the required changes.
For information on creating workflows, refer Creating a Workflow.
  5. Click Save to save the changes.
  6. Publish the workflow.
To publish a workflow, perform the following steps:
    1. In the Workflow List page, select the edited workflow.
    2. In the Others group, click Publish.
